The United Arab Emirates is accelerating steps to be the global leader in various fields. The basis upon which the future of the homeland will be established.

Emirati youth sees in their leadership an example of giving and innovation. In the past 10 years, our leadership has advanced the United Arab Emirates in various fields such as education, health, sports and others. This has motivated the youth of the country to become active contributors to the future development process.

The future in turn has begun to take shape with the announcement of the government’s new cabinet. The cabinet witnessed the addition of ministers of artificial intelligence, advanced sciences andfuture and advanced skills.Additionally, responsibility charter of the Youth Council, headed by the Minister of Youth, Shama Al Mazroueiwho, at 22, is the youngest minister in the world, has been expanded. She is younger than Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastien Kurz (27 years old at his appointment) and Sweden's Education Minister Aida Haj Ali (26 years old at her appointment).

Some practical examples of the government's support for young people includethe establishment of boards of the Emirates Youth in cooperation with local and federal authorities. Others includethe launch of the first innovativeendowmentfor youth projects in the world. This initiative made the Emirates the first in the world to adopt the concept ofinnovative endowment, which aims to support youth projects and offers a variety of services. Finally, yet importantly, YouthCircles, have been created asa platform for youth to discuss their aspirations and challenges asyoung people, and to help them adopt practical solutions, effective policies and innovative ideas.

Underlining the leadership's approach to youth empowerment, the youth retreat was organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which included several brainstorming sessions. His Highness also launched the National Youth Agenda, which was fully developed by the youth and was prioritized at the Annual Youth Forum. We also mention the policy of activating the role of youth, toengage young people, and foster an environment that embraces thepotential of this dynamic segment of the population.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, inaugurated the first youth hub of its kind in the world. Designed by young people under 30 years of age,Youth Hub X includes twelve areas for the development of young people's skills and knowledge. The Center is a platform for researchers, programmers, entrepreneurs and young media professionals. It includes a laboratory for the innovation of solutions and brainstorming sessions. It alsoorganizes innovative events and programs. Such steps underscore the government's dedicationto supporting the development of new Emirati generations armed with science and knowledge, as well as a vision that looks to the future – a critical measure to enhancing the country's global leadership.
